BEST Things to Do at Enchanted forest
One of the best parts of this amusement park is the fact that it was created by Roger Tofte, who designed it as a labor of love. The Tofte family still runs the amusement park, and their dedication to making it a great place for families is unmatched.
If you have young children, this is a great place to bring them as it is full of kids’ favorites like frog hoppers and train rides! The kiddy bumper boats are a fun way for kids to pretend they’re out on the water, and the kiddy ferris wheel is a classic that everyone will enjoy.
Another thing that makes this park a great choice is the fact that it has a lot of hiking trails. It’s the perfect location for a day hike or trail run with the whole family.
For hikers, there are two main trails to choose from: the Enchanted Forest Trail and the Felton Memorial Trail. Both of these trails offer beautiful views and are great for bird watching, wildlife photography and even dog walking!
A few of the trails have steep switchbacks, but they aren’t too strenuous. You’ll be able to take in the surrounding scenery and see some friendly deer, wild turkeys and madrone trees along your route.
The best part about the trails at Enchanted Forest is that they are completely pristine and maintained. The signs at the start of each trail warn you to “leave no trace” so you can be sure you’re not damaging the land, which is important for both people and wildlife.
You’ll also want to bring your camera and take photos of the beautiful wildflowers in the spring and summer months! You can find a variety of wildflowers here, including yellow irises and lupine. Learn more information about Deepwood Museum & Gardens.
You’ll also be able to catch the dazzling Fantasy Fountains Water Light Show, which features music by Tofte’s daughter Susan Vaslev. The show features 359 water jets that dance to the music, and it’s performed every 15 minutes so you won’t miss it.
